The paintings of Gao qifeng

Gao qifeng (1889-1933), named weng, titled himself qifeng, a native of panyu, Guangdong province. He was known as the founders of the Lingnan Painting School. He began to study Chinese traditional painting from his old brother Gao qifeng. In 1907, he aboard to Japan to learned the western art. Mr Gao followed Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the leader of the Chinese Democratic Revolution. 1921, he founded the Shenmei Art Academy in Shanghai. In 1925, he founded the Art Academy in Guangzhou. He passed away in 1933.
