Mr. Zhao Tailai, born in 1954, in Humen, Dongguan, Guangdong, is a noted collector of cultural relics, overseas Chinese residing in England. He came from an intellectual family, having been imbued with the tradition of love for art since boyhood. He removed to Hong Kong at the age of 15, and there he inherited a collection of cultural relics. Besides his passion for traditional Chinese culture and art, Mr. Zhao Tailai likes very much to collect the handicrafts of various countries. He toured all over the world to collect the exquisite local handicrafts, which not only represent the level and features of the handicraft industry of the country or region, but also materialize its artistic style, history, culture, habits and customs.
