Zitan, also known as the red sandalwood, is a very precious timber. As beautifully smooth as velvet，the ancient Chinese people was mad on red sandalwood. It is mainly found in the semitropical zone. Red sandalwood furniture is in accordance with the definition of excellence, especially of the Ming and Qing classical furniture. 

China Red Sandalwood Museum is opened in 1999, it’s the first and largest private museum in China specialized in collecting, researching and displaying red sandalwood works of art and connoisseurship of classical furniture, which fills a vacancy in the field of Chinese museum. In order to let more people understand the Chinese traditional culture, China Red Sandalwood Museum took its quality artworks to America, Korea and other countries for exhibition.
