The paintings of Fu Luofei

Foreword

Fu luofei(1897-1971), was born in Wenchang, Hai Nan provience. His family is catch fish for living. Fu went aboard at 12 years to look for a new means of livelihood. In 1925, he graduated from Shanghai Fine Arts College. In 1930, he admitted to ACCADEMIA DI BELLE ARTI di NAPOLI, and followed Professor Carlo Siviero and Professor Glusep Caschro. In 1935, three of his works were awarded the "Venice international art fair". In 1945, he joined the Communist Party of China. Later, he taught at Sun Yat-Sen University and South China University of Technology. He served as vice chairman of the Art Association of Guangzhou, and the members of Guangdong CPPCC.

As a Chinese modern artist, Fu Luofei"s works reflect the society at that time. Romantic painting style in his earlier works and later realism emerged the tendencies.
