Mr. Yang Shanshen (1913—2004),named ZiJiang, born in Taishan of Guangdong, lived in Hong Kong and later settled down in Canada. In 1935, he went to Japan to study painting. In 1945, he founded the Jin She in Guangzhou with Gao Jianfu, Chen Shuren, Zhao Shao’ang, Guan Shanyue, and Li Geming. In 1958, he traveled to America and held art exhibition there. In 1970, he founded the Chun Feng Hua Hui in Hong Kong and began to teaching painting. In 1988, he moved to Canada and lived there. He was considered as the Lingnan Four master with Zhao Shao’ang, Li Xiongcai, and Guan Shanyue.

With rich experience and broaden horizon, he took nature as his teacher, and drawing excellent essence from painting art, both at home and abroad, he made a comprehensive study and had a thorough master of the art and had a style of his own.
