Release time:12-06-14
The
origin of the Chinese Zodiac signs dates back to the Northern and Southern
Dynasties. As time went on, 12 animals were used to symbolize the 12 earth
branches. At that time, the ancient Chinese used a time division related to the
number 12 and the 12 animals presented for the 12 years. Each of these 12 years
is represented by an animals. These animals include the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit,
dragon, snake, horse, lamb, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. It is believed that
the year of birth and the animal sign associated to it represents the character
and traits of an individual. Thus, The 12 animals became the common theme of
art creation in Chinese history.
