The Gallery is named after well-known artist Li Xiongcai and exhibits the calligraphies, paintings, sketches and other relevant historical documents of the artist, most of which were donated by the artist himself. The Gallery also displays other collections.

Li Xiongcai (1910—2001) was born in Zhaoqing, GuangdongProvince, and was regarded as a notable member of the Lingnan Painting School. Throughout his career, he looked to ordinary lives for his subject matter and drew inspiration from nature. He experimented with a variety of painting techniques and applied sharp and powerful brushworks. His works were profound and impressive.

Attention is paid to the overall design momentum of the Gallery: the white marble bust of the artist is silhouetted against the huge replica background painting of the artist. Exhibition show are categorized into five parts according to Li’s evolution in art style: the 1920s to 1940s, 1950s to 1960s, late 1970s to 1980s, 1990s andSketches. In recent years, Special Exhibition of Li Xiongcai’s LandscapePaintings was held and his works were also introduced to be exhibited at Qingdao MunicipalMuseum, Dongguan Lingnan Painting Academy and National Palace Museum.
